A morning dance through the streets decorated with bluebells and evergreens by young people, such as at Helstone in Cornwall. Other youths venture into the woods to collect beech and sycamore branches. The youths tour the town accompanied by characters such as Robin Hood and his outlaws, and stop to intone the Elizabethan song Hal-an-Tow.
